Noa (they/ she) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Parent Coach and Somatic Practitioner living in Portland, Oregon on the unceded territories of the Clackamas, Kalapuya and Cowlitz tribes. She began her training with Generative Somatics in 2011.
Noa works with a deep commitment to relational ethics, awareness of power, and social justice in the field of counseling. She is committed to supporting LGBTQIA2S+and gender oppressed people of all ages, immigrants, fat people, neurodivergent folks and activists and organizers to transform trauma and move towards what they long for.
Noa is a white, mixed ethnicity, disabled, fat, genderqueer femme; a parent; an organizer; a Jewish person whose ancestors are from the Middle East and Eastern and Southern Europe. She immigrated to the United States as a young person and is from a lineage of people shaped by war and colonization. Through this experience, she has learned about holding contradiction, cultural humility, the effects of colonization, survival, resilience, solidarity and resistance.
Over the past fifteen years, Noa has worked therapeutically with parents, families and youth living at the intersections of multiple oppressions, youth with severe behavioral struggles, undocumented families, survivors, trans folks, students and people living with severe anxiety and depression. She works as a Somatics Practitioner and Expressive Arts Therapist both in person in Portland, OR and online.
